This Letter of Acceptance

Give me unexposed pictures
where stormy skulls pound thoughts,
this caught up consciousness
striving to pop bubbles of gray
where streams run dry when cold
and frozen emotions on a park bench
willingly wilt
stuck in this droopy dance of doldrums,
for how can we continue
when ripeness hides its nectar
as fields reveal showy tares,
bowls filled with plastic fruit
while doped Eden hope melts
in bitter forked tongues,
unable to cry or empathize
after blue skies decide to hide,
to accept reflect reject,
for you know sunshine demands growth
so somehow absorb the doors,
sweep up future clarity,
and insist on more out of life.
