More Tears

More of my life
submerged on slippery slopes
struggling to see news hopes
with its leaky looking glass
building bulwarks
from the disappointed past
reaching what perpetually lasts
upon demolished doorsteps of a goal
with fearful cliffs of success
to plague pitiful loneliness,
bring huge tears
that saturate a bandaged heart
softly crying for comfort
from each who remotely relates
to the claw of love
destroyed in the grip
destroying in the gripping
to lean on sorrow,
shake hands with death,
pierce eyes with candle lies
until neither compromise
and nothing remains dry.
