Maps that Trap

Maps that Trap

Maps that Trap

How can I absorb more
from these wanton webs of emotion,
as provocation dangles before hearts
with raw gem friends
pushing their facets in front of faces
to lick or kick,
as far flung fantasies unwind
until encircling doors trap
like cornered cave bats
stuck on rocks of ecstasy
paved with fleshy breaths,
hurled as meteor shower sensations
longing to find red hot satisfaction
to mend to bend together,
breed inner mysteries,
fully appreciate future pendulums of love,
these desires stuffed in rockets to Venus
or orbiting as potent moons of Jupiter
until shattered embryo connections
use asteroid dust to plague our pages
where we plead for home,
please, oh Great God please
save me from these maps that trap.
